The results of the 2019 Indian general election will be announced on May 23. The election was held in seven phases from April 11 to May 19. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah has secured 303 seats in the 17th Lok Sabha. The Congress, the main opposition party, has won 52 seats.
